Flats happen fast. This side mount carrier keeps your spare on the tongue where you can grab it quick. Heavy steel with a zinc finish holds it tight, even around saltwater, so your spare is ready when you need it most.
When a tire blows, you don't want to fight with an awkward spare. Some trailers carry the tire upright on the tongue, but that can crowd your jack or winch. Others stick it on the rear crossmember, which adds weight behind the axle and makes the spare harder to reach once the boat's loaded. A side-mounted carrier solves both problems. It keeps the spare out of the way, but still easy to grab when you need it, and it doesn't eat into your trailer's deck space.
This Tie Down carrier is built for versatility. It fits both 4- and 5-lug wheels and can be flipped to match your trailer tongue setup. Clips hold the bolts steady while you lift the tire in place, so mounting isn't a struggle. And it's made from heavy-duty welded steel with a zinc-plated finish that resists spray, road grime, and saltwater so you get extra protection where trailers see the most abuse.

Hi, everyone, Steve here with etrailer.com. Let's take a look at our Tie Down Side-Mount Spare Tire Mount four or five-lug wheels in zinc. So, folks, this side mount care just like you see would mount on the trailer frame and it would give you a nice adjustability. Also, I got upside down and mount on the trailer frame this way rather, and then up here you have your options for whether you're doing a four lug or a five lug bolt pattern for that spare tire. So once again, you could change it, move it to fit your needs. And then of course it does come with the couple of clips here to help hold these in place.
That way whenever you're pushing the spare tire on, these aren't popping out on you and making it difficult to use. So once you get this installed, it really is pretty simple to use. This fits tongues up to three inch wide and four inches tall. And it's an extra heavy duty welded steel that with stands tough conditions. And with the zinc plating, that's gonna suit your trailer style and also enhance the aesthetics and just give it a nice corrosion resistance as well.
So again, you have two u-bolts here. Make sure you're installing the correct one on the correct size and shape and everything and where it goes on the trailer for the install. That's gonna come with the set of instructions so it should be pretty straightforward. But if you do have questions, reach out to us. That's what we're here for.
We'll help you in any way we can. Folks that will wrap it up for our quick look together. I'm Steven, thanks for watching.
